Tuition Reimbursement Policy

The tuition reimbursement policy is designed to provide employees with educational opportunities relating to their work at ENPOINTE.

Eligibility

Tuition reimbursement is available to all regular full-time employees, provided all the provisions of this policy are met, including the following:

  • Must be a regular full-time employee with at least one year of service with the company and must demonstrate satisfactory performance when submitting the application.
  • The employee must be on the active payroll at the time of enrollment in and the completion of the course.
  • The employee must receive written approval for reimbursement prior to the beginning of the course.
  • The educational activity must not interfere with the employee’s presently assigned job responsibilities.

Procedure

Employee should complete the Educational Reimbursement Application and submit it to their department manager for approval.  If approved, the application must be forwarded to Human Resources for final approval.  The Department Manager will then communicate the decision to the employee.

The course can not interfere with the employee’s presently assigned job responsibilities and must be deemed to be relevant to employment at ENPOINTE.  Courses must be from an accredited approved academic institution to be eligible for reimbursement.

After completing the course, the employee submits proof of completion (grade report) and payment (receipts) to Human Resources.

Reimbursement Criteria

The maximum reimbursement for any one calendar year is based on years of services. Please see table below:

Years of Service Amount Reimbursed in Calendar Year
1-4 years of services
$2,500
5 or more years of service $5,000

Employees whose application for educational reimbursement has been approved must pay for all training costs.  ENPOINTE will reimburse the eligible costs incurred by the employee at the end of the activity, after receiving proof of a passing grade (C or better) and copies of all receipts.  Employees who fail (D or F/incomplete) to obtain a passing grade will not be reimbursed.

Reimbursable educational costs are as follows:  registration fees, tuition, and textbooks. Travel, meal and administrative costs are not reimbursable.

Reimbursement is not granted for any course or portion of a course that is already covered under another financial aid program.

Only courses related to your current position will be eligible for tuition reimbursement.  The employee’s department manager along with the Director of Human Resource will determine if the course fits within the guidelines of the tuition reimbursement program.

Repayment upon Termination of Employment

ENPOINTE considers the assistance provided under this policy as an investment toward improving the performance of its employees and, thus the performance of the Company.  In return for this financial assistance, ENPOINTE expects that employees who benefit from it will remain in its employment long enough to allow the Company to earn a fair return on its investment.  Thus, employees, who resign within one year of receiving educational assistance, will be required to reimburse the Company a portion of this financial aid:

Number of months elapsed since the last
payment provided by the Program
Percentage the recipient employee must reimburse
Less than 6 months
75%
At least 6 months but less than 12 50%

Exceptions

Exceptions to this policy require the approval of the Manager of Human Resources.
