Customer File Retention
ENPOINTE automatically deletes customer job files per the following standard retention periods:
- Data files for client projects are retained until one year after invoicing.
- All other Data Processing job files (e.g., electronic instructions) are retained until five years after invoicing.
- Graphics and other Premedia files are retained until five years after invoicing.
The following explanation can be provided to clients upon their information request regarding data file retention:
- ENPOINTE’s default practice is to retain customer data files until one year after invoicing for each job/project. At that point, all job data files are automatically deleted. If a client requests a shorter standard retention period, we will quickly implement a custom retention period from 30 to 365 days once this is provided in a formal request.
- Our Client Services team also has a Standard Operating Procedure defined for requests to delete an individual consumer record from job files. This type of work varies greatly based upon the request. ENPOINTE will estimate the work involved in each of those situations and provide cost options to our clients within two business days of such a request.
